Year 2C

Welcome to 2C’s class page!

We are a group of 22 enthusiastic and friendly children who are eager to learn. In year 2 we help children develop the skills required to become confident, reflective and resilient learners. We give them the opportunities to manage their learning and challenge themselves.

Year 2 are lucky to have support from our TA’s: Mrs Milton, Miss Bradley, Mrs Vallance and Miss Parry.

Make sure you keep an eye out on our twitter page @kensingtonprimary for lots of photos and videos from our class.

Reading is very important in year 2 and there is an expectation that children should read at least 4 times a week. We understand that family life is busy and even if you are only able to read a few pages, this will be beneficial to your child. It would be great if you could sign your child’s reading record and leave a short comment. We really appreciate all your hard work.

Homework in year 2 is sent out each Friday and will need to be returned the following Friday. Each week, your child will receive phonics homework, which is a consolidation task on that weeks learning.  They will also be sent spellings each week and will have a spelling test the following Thursday too.

P.E lessons are on a Monday. Children will be asked to bring their P.E kit to school. They are allowed to wear black bottoms (shorts, leggings, jogging bottoms) and a white t-shirt.

If you have any questions, please feel free to catch me at the beginning or end of the school day.
