In our school, we foster the development of the IB (International Baccalaureate) Learner profiles in all of our children. Collectively, these are qualities that will support our pupils’ holistic development whilst also preparing them for life after Kensington and into adulthood.
The LB profiles are woven throughout the English curriculum, whereby profiles are re-visited regularly and built upon through a wide range of contexts and opportunities in and out of the English classroom. We believe that this also supports our pupils to become competent and confident readers and writers - essential lifelong skills.

Where can the IB Learner Profiles be found?
IB Learner Profiles can be found in every corner of the English curriculum and explicit links are made in a wide range of contexts. Teachers identify the most appropriate profiles that are relevant and appropriate to the context of each learning outcome and refer to them regularly with the children.
Through innovative and creative planning, we believe that there are no limits as to how they can be linked to different learning opportunities. However, the following will illustrate where each IB profile regularly features within each section of Read to Write:
